Antique English Wedgewood Jasperware syrup jug with pewter lid. This is early Jasperware that is made in the "Dip Glaze" process used on earlier pieces (base ceramic is white, color is dipped on, then white decoration is applied and in relief). Newer pieces are made of one-color clay. Maker's mark on underside.
